My main go to sub genres are tech death, thrash, grind/slam, but I'll listen to anything i consider "metal". That's not it tho, I'm not real picky with what i listen to. So i always consider my opinion garbage. However, the shit i dislike i absolutely will do whatever i can to not have to hear it.

6/10, hirasawa's stuff tends to all revolve around similar melodies and it can get repetitive, but I love a couple tracks here like Soliton which go harder

i don't doubt that japanese idol bands are just as bad in a lot of ways (especially large groups like AKB48, MM, etc.) but in korea I don't see nearly as many female artists who are in control of their own music. plus I don't think plastic surgery is nearly as common in japan.
the plastic surgery thing is pretty tough to talk about because, of course, koreans don't think as much about what their ideal of beauty is as they do what the societal ideal for their gender is. but you can't rubber-stamp beauty, there's no formula for it. i'd rather the girls in kpop bands pursue their own ideals than be forced into molds, but they probably don't have their own ideals at this point since their culture discourages individuality so much.
