If someone asks you what type of music you listen to reply saying "rock" and if the person asks you to be more specific THEN tell them bands like Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At the Disco, Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, The Killers, etc. Then they'll know that you are emo.
