and the electronic mood comes back with the rapping
while it isn't my favourite track it definitely is better than sweepstakes
also, i feel the opposite and that sweepstakes should have been closer to the beginning of the album, it would fit in better with some of the less serious tracks like white flag and superfast jellyfish.
but sweepstakes coming off a stretch of songs like some kind of nature, melancholy hill, and broken, then coming before the title track just doesn't make sense.

As someone that watches for Bowie threads I haven't seen him, but he's a fucking idiot. Say what you will about everything after Let's Dance (There's some great material there), but writing of Space Oddity or even David Bowie is a mistake. There's a couple good ones on the first one, and Space Oddity has some of his most severely underrated songs. There's a couple that come to mind, but Cygnet Committee is unabashedly one of his best songs, or at least one of my favorites.
