Hey /mu/ so I just downloaded the entire David Bowie Discography and I have no idea which albums are his best and his worst. Any advice?
Heroes is the only good one. It's pretty good, though.
Listen to them yourself and come up with your own conclusions.
scary monsters best
"Heroes"
Low
Station to Station
everything else is good but not great

Everything from The Man Who Sold the World through Scary Monsters is good. Start off with Low and Ziggy Stardust
>>60319770
Start with Ziggy Stardust.
>>60319770
I felt the same way with Frank Zappa, I just listened to everything chronologically
>>60319776
STOP IT WITH THIS FUCKING RETARDED MEME WHERE YOU PRETEND SPACE ODDITY IS SHIT
YOU'RE SHIT
FUCK OFF THE NEWFAGS MIGHT ACTUALLY BELIEVE YOU
>>60319770
Never Let Me Down is his only good album.
>>60319718
All of david bowie's discography from 69-83 is worth listening to. His berlin trilogy is my fav.
Thanks everyone! Gonna start this journey now.

>Doesn't know what albums are good
>Downloads the entire discography
>>60319770

>>60319770

>best

>underrated

i have become transcendent
>>60319770
this will help
>>60320385
>implying Scary Monsters isn't one of his best
>>60320385
>Station to Station
>less cocaine
He was so coked up he doesn't even remember making it.
>>60320385
>station to station
>less cocaine
>low
>space
>having a path for complete opposite of anything
>implying young americans and lodger of all albums are polar opposites
Shit chart, remake it.
>>60320385
Where's his debut?
Where is Heathen?
Where is Outside?
Where is Earthlings?
Why is that piece of shit Reality on there?
How is Station to Station similar to Scary Monsters?
How is there less cocaine on Station to Station than any other album by him?
How is Lodger the absolute opposite of Young Americans when Young Americans is funk/soul, and this chart says Lodger is funky?
Could there be a worse Bowie flowchart?
>>60320541
> implying its mine
Its good for its branch from glam to berlin trio/station2station , op is clueless so this will help
>>60320509
yes , that was kek worthy , the flowchart maker meant as in less crazy probably
>>60320411
as i said, i dont agree with his flow choices or why to chose those paths, but for an absolute beginer the first division is the only one that matters. He will branch out on its own after the first 4~5 albums heard
>>60320690
>>implying its mine
I hang out in a lot of flowchart threads, this is the first time I've ever seen it. You're the top suspect.
>>60320690
>implying its mine
>Implying it needs to be yours to remake it
In order from best to 4th best IMO:
Ziggy Stardust
Station to Station
Low
Space Oddity
>>60321083
Bad opinion m8
With his 1st album like you would any other artist.
>>60321083
Good opinion m8
The Suburbs
>>60319718
Best:
>Station to Station
>Low
>Heroes
>Ziggy Stardust
>Honky Dory
>>60319844
it is crap
>>60321269
I'd argue it's one of his absolute top albums, if nothing else it's definitely better than the Man Who Sold the World. If you like his 70s stuff there is absolutely zero reason to hate this.
>>60320385
this isn't a particularly good chart OP, shocking that an artist as influential as Bowie doesn't merit an attempt from an expert on an indonesian sock puppet arcade.
>>60320666
This. Station to Station is Bowie at his most drugged/cocaine powered. Hell he rarely plays any songs from it live and doesn't even remember recording it.
>>60322145
he also stored all his urine and semen in his fridge so that witches wouldnt steal it
>>60321269
>>60319844
Space Oddity isn't bad, but it does have at least one other song that justifies its existence:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKMSgZo9c8s
>>60320251
Did you actually eat your copy of Let's Dance?
>>60322569
Plus Wild Eyed Boy from Freecloud, Memory of a Free Festival, Letter to Hermione and An Occasional Dream.
>>60322793
I thought you were the "I have transcended" guy for a second.
>>60322462
>>60322145
source of this stuff?
anyone got a mega of this disco?
>>60323139
this please
>>60320385
>>60320509
>>60320541
>>60320690
Probably a mistake by whoever made the chart.
Just assume it says more cocaine for station to station.
>>60323098
Just read the Wikipedia article on the album.
>>60319752
this
>>60319752
Most of his stuff is great, m8.
