So it depends what you're looking for but, if you're looking for Goth Rock/lofi pop/outsider music/ influenced music then check out his older stuff and if you're looking for more conventional indie pop/psychedelic pop/glam/Frank Zappa type influenced music you should check out his newer stuff (although Everything he's done is worth listening to)

I think i'll always feel bad for this guy. sure he acts like a drama queen begging for attention. but it's well deserved

Grimes is a good example she makes way more money then him (I like her music) but ariel for years has made better pop music then her but he will never in his lifetime reach that level of stardom.
