Fucking Marilyn Manson. I still like some of the bands shit, but outside (and inside of his later music) of music he can be pure cringe. The Pale Emperor is pretty good though, one of my favourite bigger releases of the year.

Saw a tape with a cross with skulls on it and thought it looked decent as fuck, so I said I wanted that.
My mother said: "Ok" and then we put the cassette on in the car, blasting Welcome To The Jungle on volume 4 (of 20).

first album
i was really into green day from the ages of like 6-13. pretty much worshiped billie joe and wanted to start playing guitar because of him. also when i was like 10 my parents played a best of the doors CD and i loved it so much i was playing air guitar along with it. i thought jim morrison was the guitarist and singer cause i saw him shirtless on the cover and instantly thought of him as a legend and inspiration

For sure Tigran Hamasyan has been one of my biggest inspirations recently, along with Robert Fripp.
I also have a lot of musical heroes from local scenes, mostly because they've been the people who shaped me most through playing and teaching.

The Residents were surprisingly consistent for what they were/are, and even past their "prime" they still put out enough good albums and projects that it was worth keeping up with them.
