OpenDNS primarily runs on local routers and LANs. It's your parents/school admin/RA/boss/etc. When your ISP busts you for torrenting it will send you a c&d letter, throttle your speeds, and eventually put the RIAA and/or MPAA in touch with you. They don't block sites based on filter lists that sound like they were put together by the American Family Association.

I've been having some pretty weird slowdowns on my internet recently. Pretty suspicious that my bandwidth is being throttled.
Other than the slowdowns, it's been acting pretty weird. Whenever I turn on my computer, the internet is ALWAYS not able to connect. I have to unplug my router every day to get on my computer. The weirder thing is that this applies to my phone and tablet as well, and I often have to make sure my phone/computer are both on to ensure they both get the internet connection.
Do you think I'm being fucked with? I haven't gotten a letter yet.
