If you've already listed an instrumental album previously ignore the fourth category. Also there's some leeway in the definition of "instrumental". Albums with sparse vocals that are not emphasised ("A Love Supreme") are okay as are albums that use vocals sampled from something else ("Since I Left You")
Also, for the purposes of this, groups headlined by one person or groups that serve as a "backing band" count as solo artists ("The John Coltrane Quartet", "Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Bang", "The Costello Show" etc. etc.)
