Hey /mu/! What kind of mp3 player would you recommend? Most recently I've been using my phone but I want something separate because it's hard to manage the amounts of of music I listen to currently.
Normally I'd recommend Sansa Clip with a microSD but they stopped making them recently.
Fiio might be the only choice left at this point, it's a bit of a size and price jump though.

I'm using this Sony AWZ-A17 (but in black) and I love it. Use to have a Clip+, but battery got worst and worst.
Pono
i impatiently await it's release (-_-)

Same for me and absolutely love it as well. Great battery life, browsing by folder, does everything I need.

It looks like a small feature, but the ability to select by letters in the artist menu when you press right or left is absolutely amazing.
someone do me the honors and elaborate on why it's just an oh so ludicrous notion to use your phone as an mp3 player?

I use the older Walkman MP3 and I love it too.
Sony is by far the best bang for buck brand out there.

Bigger + touchscreen keyboard is a no-no when running, Plus, I save battery life and storage on my phone.

Battery life. That is all.

My phone has a crap DAC and lacks expandable storage
Also battery life.

Not enough space for iphones, m8.
That's why I have 2 phones. My old android for music (and porn), and my iphone.

If you're using a bluetooth set of headphones, it won't kill your battery.

My sister coaxed me into buying one. What can I say, m8.
I have had my sansa clip (I will always fucking love it) for a little over a year now, but I need more space so I was looking into this one:

My only main concern would be the battery life of like 8 hours and the charging time of like 2 - 4 hours. I was hoping maybe somebody here has had experience with this and could give me an opinion on it. I think it looks amazing, but wanted to know what you guys thought and if you maybe knew a way to extend the battery life.

I want it.
