Or any other music related products you've recently purchaced.
Yerself is Steam took me forever to find, but I finally found a decently priced mint Australian copy.

What's that Zappa album like? I've been listening to a lot of him recently and haven't heard that one.
>>60282838
Soundtrack from the movie. I would suggest watching it first. Not considered one of his greats, but I still enjoy it.
What Zappa stuff you been listening to?
Post fictional items you would buy the shit out of:
Flood on vinyl:
Side A:
Flood I & II
Side B:
Flood III
Side C:
Flood IV
Side D:
Etched Flood Cover

I want thiiiiiiiiiiis

OP, how do I into Ween?
These are a week old already but haven't really posted it around.
Original pressings, except SILY is 2001 UK (almost mint).
>>60283035
Not OP but here's a chart I made
>>60283035
not OP, but my favorite Ween album is The Pod. I'd probably say start with The Mollusk first though
>>60283035
or this >>60283109
Start with either the Mollusk or Chocolate and Cheese.
>>60283070
some great stuff mate, especially the marion browns
>>60282817
Is that Pure Guava the original 2xLP or the single LP reissue? If the latter, does it sound good?
>>60283035
>>60283135
>>60283139
I just want to say if you want full brown, check out their demos they had pre-godweensatan. Someone said they had a demo they made back in high school and said it wasn't even worth listening to again. Their demos (axis bold as boognish, prime 5 etc) are cool and interesting, yet the demo the guy had was literal shit. Pod, Pure Guava, and Chocolate are my favorites with PG always inching towards 1st place for me

Theres a Long Season vinyl...
... which is exclusive to Fishmans Rock Festival boxset...
...which is possibly the rarest set in history.
It hurts to live
>>60283220
Holy fuck I'd rather have this than an acid dropping sesh with AnCo.
>>60282878
I've kinda just been going through his early stuff in general but the ones I was listening to the most were Waka/Jawaka, Uncle Meat and Cruisin with Rubin and the Jets ( I know, I know, but the songwriting is legit fantastic and there's all these three part harmonies and ridiculously well arranged instrumentals. Zappa could actually write really great pop when he wanted to).
>>60283239
There's an anon here who bought this boxset. Maybe he'll drop by here soon.
Bumping with A E S T H I C S
>>60283239
why would want to drop acid with those freaks lmao
they used to watch horror movies while on shrooms when they were like 14, avey and geo iirc
>>60283070
>>60283072
Sick shit bruv
>>60283182
Reissue. Sounds great, though the packaging kinda sucks. I would say get it if you like the album enough.
>>60283310
Uncle Meat is fuckin gr8. Hot rats 2.
>>60283389
Fuck yeah, how's this pressing?
>>60283644
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
>>60283644
Just out of interest (I've never listened to this band before, seen them around though), how much was that? Never sold on discogs seemingly.
>>60283644
How does it feel to be jewed by the japanese
>>60282817

>>60283839
What the hell.
>>60283732
Listen to Long Season. Good shit.
>>60283706
>Fuck yeah, how's this pressing?
It's actually pretty good, they did a fine job mastering to vinyl.
>>60283013
Just get the cd... it's quite cheap. Or spend $800 or whatever on that vinyl box if you're crazy.
Thinking about getting this shirt? Is it /fa/ at all?
>>60283839
Are you serious?? Why?? Was it worth?
>>60283839
Whoa, nice. Glad to see people here actually dedicated to their collections.
>>60283870
Way ahead of you.
(I don't mean I listened to it yet, just sampling around so far, pretty good indeed)
>>60282982
This release works way better on cd anyway. Same with Dopesmoker and other similar tracks.
>>60283929
>>60283870
I know it's a lot, but look at all the shit it comes with:
http://www.discogs.com/Fishmans-Fishmans-Rock-Festival/release/4958789
It would almost be justifyable if it had Orange and Neo Yankee's Holiday
>>60283930
Thanks, I usually get shit on when I talk about this :(
The only Fishmans release I have is this 2 cd set:
http://www.discogs.com/Fishmans-%E5%AE%87%E5%AE%99-%E3%83%99%E3%82%B9%E3%83%88%E3%82%AA%E3%83%96%E3%83%95%E3%82%A3%E3%83%83%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A5%E3%83%9E%E3%83%B3%E3%82%BA/release/5629072
>>60284008
Still insane, that's almost $80 a record. Just get the cds unless you are crazy hipster ultra mega or a completionist.
>>60284051
It's only $42.85714285714286 per LP, but still.
Has anyone gotten the Unwound represses? I was thinking of getting Empire, since it's the only one with all albums I want, but it's still $45.
Some recent cds from discogs mostly:
>>60284422
Some records also, from Amazon. All were on sale really cheap. The Havok 4 lp box was $12 shipped for some reason. The Diamond version is $3 (still on amazon for that price too), the Meshuggah was $7.
>>60284447
Captain beyond 2 lp set was like $6 shipped.
What's a good record player that ISNT a crosley?
>>60284422
That Philadelphia records 20 cd box set only cost $18 shipped, what a steal that was. I also have a bunch more cds and records arriving in the mail this week.
>>60284489
If you're buying new, the AT-LP120 and U-Turn Orbit are the cheapest you can get for quality tables.
If you're buying used, look for vintages that has:
>counterweight and antiskating wheel (optional)
>1/2-inch mount cartridge (P-mount is fine too, but there aren't many good quality carts with this type of mount nowadays)
>>60284422
Nice picks, love those Aki onda releases. What is the Owl one?
>>60284489
If you have a decent amount of money, then the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon is a winner
>>60284659
http://www.discogs.com/Jeff-Burch-Jeff-Burch/release/5879448
It came as a free bonus with the Aki Onda discs that I purchased. Looks like it should be an interesting release.
>>60284051
Even the CDs are expensive
>>60284850

Whoa, indeed.
>>60283070
georgia faun is goat
>>60284850
It's like $18 shipped on Amazon. I've seen it cheaper on Amazon before too, as low as $9.

>>60284892
Not Fishmans but this Midori cd is quite reasonably priced on Amazon if anyone here wanted it. It comes with an album cover sized fold out poster of the album cover too.

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of the album, but I'm collecting ECM and love Marion Brown so buying that for a decent price was a no brainer.
