Its flawed, if anything. I recommend revising the mixing first.I would recommend reducing the lower ends of the pads and give the mid to higher ends some stereo separation so It can leave some room for the bass and while giving it a wider sound so that the other sounds wouldnt clash as much. With that you can turn down the pads and turn up the other sounds.
This mix I heard a while back can probably give you an idea of what you want to achieve in terms of mixing and mastering.
