How do I get into surf rock?
How do I get into Martial Industrial?

>martial industrial
Listen to Rome. A lot of their stuff is more neofolk than martial industrial but still.

how do i get into noise music
>>
Genre names like martial industrial are one of the reasons why normies will never relate to the people who use them.
>>
my two favourite surf albums are probably

>Dick Dale - Surfer's Choice
>Takeshi Terauchi and The Bunnys - Seichô Takeuchi-Bushi

maybe try those

It describes the genre well enough though.

Merzbow, Hanatarash and Masonna. Everything else is redundant.

Don't

As someone else said, Rome would be a good starter, but they're not really that martial industrial.
I'd recommend Die Blutharsch - Time is Thee Enemy! as a starter.
Dernière Volonté - Obeir Et Mourir is great too.

What else would you call it? War music?
>>59601745
Are you into drone? If you are Kevin Drumm - Sheer Hellish Miasma would be a good place to start.
If not, I'd try Wolf Eyes - Burned Mind

How do I get into shoegazing and indie folk?

Don't really like the term but some of my favorite bands/artists that play probably what you're looking for are Sufjan (a few of his albums), Laura Marling, River City Extension, Murder By Death, and the Mountain Goats.

Masonna is shite. Tokyo Anal Dynamite is a good starting point because it blends noise with punk which you may be already familiar with.

Merzbow is essential for noise. Try out Pulse Demon for something quite harsh sounding although not as ear piercing as Masonna.

Other merzbow favorites are

>Music For Bondage Performance
>1930

I also recommend MERZXIU which is a collab between merzbow and xiu xiu

Although it's more industrial than it is noise; Journey Through a Body provides a really atmospheric and consistently changing listen which I find quite unsettling but there are definitely some noisy parts.

Most of the stuff I listed here is harsh stuff. Softer and warmer noise is typically associate d with ambient music like stars of the lid (this isn't noise btw). But there is some such as Going Places by Yellow Swans and Alien Observer my Grouper.

Also you should check out /noise/ general.

are you unhappy son?

If it would make you feel better. I will reword it.

>I don't believe that Masonna is particularly interesting harsh noise because it consists almost entirely on warping feedback and distorted screaming. If this interests you then listen to Ejaculation Generator or Spectrum Ripper. They both sound nearly the same.
