i've never named an instrument, but they say that the instrument will tell you it's name when you're good enough... maybe i need to practise more.

Why, you might ask?
Because it's cut and once you've had it you can't get enough.
I use synths so I don't really have any attachment to them because they are just consumer products. If I had a modular I would probaly name it though.
