Have you guys ever heard the Kingston Wall aka the best band you have never ever heard?

They were ultimately underground psychedelic/progressive rock band from late 80's until mid 90's.
They never ever had any mainstream success, but rather their popularity grew after the band disbanded in 1994 after the lead guitarist and vocalist committed suicide by jumping out of church tower.

I think you should listen at least one or two of their songs, you will be amazed.

>Kingston Wall - With my mind

>Kingston Wall - The Real Thing

>Kingston Wall - Stüldt håjt (the really controversial one, it is almost industrial/psyrock-mixture)

>Kingston Wall - I feel love (Donna summer cover)

pick one and only one.

Nigga please, are you implying Kingston Wall is not underground? Literally no one knows this band, which is really shame because they were fucking amazing.

See

They have been mentioned like 150 times on /mu/ since 2014.

They are essential "underground" prog. Just like Gryphon, Pekka Pohjola, and Bubu.

If you want some underground prog that really rocks, check out Harry Roesli's Titik Api. Now that's underground and good!

Still it is fucking unappreciated, why there is so little love for Kingston Wall in /sp/?
>>
>>59585746
Yes, one of the best and most underrated bands of the 90s

Pretty sad story about the band

It's not unappreciated. It gets the love it deserves.
>why there is so little love for Kingston Wall in /sp/?
Because it's not a music board.

>/sp/
Yeah, I meant /mu/, got a little brain fart there.
>it get the love it deserves
I don't know I've never stumbled upon a thread in which it was discussed upon. Could be that I'm always somewhere else when it is noticed.

Yeah, I really did enjoy the book about band. It was really depressing chapter about Walli's slide to insanity while recording the third album.
>>
>>59586958
Well, another reason for people not listening to it is because of this "neo-/mu/" mentality that, if you listen to something obscure, you are only doing it to look cool, so they will call you a pretentious faggot.
>I don't know I've never stumbled upon a thread in which it was discussed upon.
You can see some discussion about it on the link I posted before. It's not mentioned every day, more like once or two by week.

wow i'm glad you liked it but it's a bit quick to shill it lel
Indonesian prog is really odd, do you know Anane or Discus? or Guruh Gipsy? All very singular bands.

Oh, you have no idea... hehe

>Indonesian prog is really odd, do you know Anane or Discus? or Guruh Gipsy? All very singular bands.
I'm just getting into them. I have already downloaded Guruh though.

/indonesian-prog/ when?

Well there's not too many bands besides that, not on RYM or p-a at least. There's Abbhama but they're very low-key, the lounge music vibe is interesting atmosphere but frankly sort of boring for a full album. What I do find interesting is that it's mostly a casette based scene.
