Always had something for this ending.

>Bruce singing the best poetry he's ever written
>that two minute sax solo that Clarence fucking murders
>the way Bruce sings
>BENEATH THE CITY
>TWO HEARTS BEAT
>with only soft piano backing him
>his screams at the end
Fuck, now I need to listen to all of it again.
Anyone who says it is not Bel Air is objectively wrong. It is also the pinnacle of rock music in general.
My Warm Blood and also V: Universe
I don't know if it's the best but I fucking love It's Your World

i saw them live a couple of months ago but didn't bring ear plugs and my ears were completely fucked by the time they played this at the end ):
>>55136051
It would have been a godtier closer without that cheesy 2pac shit. It's pretty decent the first time you listen to it tho.
First time I listened to this, Come to Dust made me cry.

This may not be the best closing track of all time, but it is such an appropriate closer for the album
Not of all time
But that last four minutes...

Richard Serra is a pretty cool guy
This whole album is beautiful, but the final track, that's what pulls the heartstrings.

Unsure about all-time but the closing track of Wavering Radiant, 'Threshold of Transformation', is a phenomenal closing piece both for an album as well as for the end of the Band.
on the context of the album this was a perfect ending

>>55137062
Im really liking this.
Better than There is no Enemy or You In Reverse.
It sounds a lot like Ancient Melodies.
>>55136163
That's not even the closing track. Not to mention it's pretty much the worst on the album.
>>55137111
Same. I can't fucking wait!
>>55137120
I keep hearing that Doug done all the guitar parts on this album. That's pretty fucking impressive!
>>55137141
The guitar parts are really fucking good, I dont really like the voice recording that much tho.
>>55137162
Same. It's just completely drowned in reverb.

Pretty much yep, but my problem with Bel-Air is that it ends kind of sloppily. I love the second outro thing, but compared to the rest of the track, the last few minutes are kind of directionless.
Still, a ridiculously wonderful track, it really doesn't get much better than that.
OX4, I clap every time.
Can't believe Ramshackle hasn't been posted yet

The double bill of 100,000 Fireflies followed by Plant White Roses is a good contender for the best thing TMF ever did.

I might be biased, too. It reminds me of my own (cosmo) gramma, who died almost one year ago today. I played a lot of FlyLo while I was with her in a palliative care facility. She didn't understand it much, but she said it sounded beautiful, "like a chorus of angels."
At the funeral service, we were all asked to provide one song that reminded us of her, and that was the one I picked.
The three final tracks kind of blend into an amazing finale, but the last track even on its own is amazing.
>>55139268
>A good closing track can only be good in this one way that I like the most
>>55142356
Agreed, man. Here's hoping the Russell album will live up to all the hype, yeah?
>>55135750
Yeah.
>>55135788
Fuck yeah man I forgot how rad this song was. Born to Run is about as close to perfect as an album can get IMO
>>55136030
Underrated. That whole album is great, some of Kanye's best production work and some of Common's best writing.
>>55136374
>PLEASE DONT EVER LEAAAAAAAAAAAAVE
Everything else I've heard by Titus Andronicus is pretty underwhelming, and Patrick Stickles is really obnoxious publicly, but man the Monitor is incredible.
>>55137361
I came here to post this. Impossible Soul is like, one of the best finales ever written for anything. I saw him perform it live once.
Surprised nobody's posted this one yet.
>we wish we were dead...
>world ends
It's so hypnotic and makes me want to dance in circles.
Here's another nice'un. Not BOAT, but pretty high up there.
It's all riding on this. The final shootout in the church of dance. One man versus 100. Blaze of glory.
>>55142492
Another one. Especially following "The Little House I Used to Live In"
It's like the other end of the burnt weeny sandwich. The house lights are coming up. People are shuffling out of their seats to beat the crowd. Incredulous chuckles are coming from the audience: "Is this the same band, or...?"

If you hear it, you'll understand.
It's like a Vietnam soldier's dying thoughts, as he looks into the eyes of his enemy: a man just like him, who in any other circumstance would be his friend.
Thoughts of home, of family, of idle moments wasted, growing foggier and more desperate with each bloody second.

Please tell me that's the track Ricardo Lopez offed himself too. I would have a big ol' basket of belly-keks ready just for you.
>>55136346
idk it might be one of the best of all time. The emotion on his voice is overwhelming and the horns are just too perfect. Love this track and this album.
>>55136418
I own this album but I've never listened, worth the listen??
Might as well be called, "Trailer Park Symphony: Final Movement"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgzR0BNXTZA
I'm pretty sure it's even in the key of B, which is perfect for closing tracks.
I know I'm samefagging a lot, but closing tracks are something I really enjoy scoping out.

Perfect album closer, possibly the best song Henry did with Black Flag
Fuck
After such a sad and depressing album, there's some semblance of hope in Stars, but there's still a lot of bitterness there.
The way the strings get loosened and start to buzz when he starts to scream is beautiful ending to a great story. And the child play at the end makes is visual as fuck I always see a clear image of a thin dead like guy on a chair hunched being completely helpless in front of those drawers in the morgue

This is without a doubt the greatest album closer I've ever heard in my life, though. It's just so incredibly cathartic that I'm always afraid to even put the album on because I know by the end I'm going to be bawling my eyes out wondering where it all went wrong.
>>55142730
Yeah? Sometimes I wish they ended it on No Cars Go tho. They did the same kind of anti-climax thing on Funeral. Both closers are good ending statements, but they do anthemic so well that it seems counter-intuitive to not close on that kind of tune.
>>55143772
Forgot to add >these are great too

Yeh man that shit is amazing.
European Son is the obv choice.
don't even like the album that much but the beginning and ending tracks are both great
