House of Leaves in a nutshell lmao

Some writers experiment with typography in interesting ways. One that comes to mind is Mark Z. Danielewski who wrote the novel House of Leaves. He used font color, size, spacing, layout, and orientation. I thought it really added to the novel in an original way. Unfortunately it all went to his head, and he became the "Look at me, I use wacky typography!" guy.
I'm sure there's more worthwhile writers who have explored this concept, but if you're interested, that's a decent place to check it out.
