can someone give me a good definition of what exactly Shoegaze, Dream Pop and Blackgaze are?
Noise Pop is more self explanatory.

I guess shoegaze is just stuff that has heavy use of guitar effects, usually resulting in droning distortion from the guitars. Usually the music is pretty subdued, too but I guess that's not always the case.

If i had to personally associate an image to this, i'd say a totally saturated violet and indigo smokescape, fog and mist blurring completely a crowded scene. people standing, passing by, oblivious to what you're experiencing. a feeling of both loneliness and utter magnificence at the depth of what's in your eyes, but also that slow headbanging akin to being alone in a slow-motion mosh-pit.
