i'm in a contemporary art school (shoot me) and in one class on critical writing my instructors (two 30 y/o performance artists and writers) cited PC music and its hype. they were basically able to adress a lot of the post internet stuff we all know well enough but in a context that allows them to use it for their "dialectic practice".
i think PC music is the academic digestion of post internet / vaporwave tings. it's presented in a way that a lot of contemp. art is, and in a format that is open to the CRIT, which we all know is the contemp art industry's greatest tool (and where the real art happens!)
