ITT: The most emotionally devastating album for you personally.
This album for me, it meant a lot to me when I was a teenager in my first years of highschool. Specifically it reminds me if a time when a girl and I were both extremely depressed/suicidal, I remember standing outside of the guidance room at school feeling like shit because I couldn't handle being in the same room as her while she was crying, this album was the sountrack to my life during those times.

emotionally devastating? This was one of the most chill and confy albums I've heard in a while.
>>53543355
Such a great fucking album. This and Either/Or are probably his best while he was still lo-fi acoustic. Nothing beats the live version of The Biggest Lie with a female backup singer from The Softies. That's how I found out about them in high school. He's probably one of the few singers to sing about pain and it comes off as genuine and not whiny. Also helps that his guitar style is excellent.

>>53543767
How is it devastating?
For me this is absurd clinical depression levels of self-loathing: the album. Especially the song Coward.
"Stick a knife in me...and walk awayyyy!!"
"Cuz I am WORTHLLLLEEEESSSS
WORTHLLLLEEEESSSSS
USELESSSSSS
WORTHLESSS!!!!"
"AAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
"AAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!"

The romance ensued by Gainsbourg and his loli-lover was portrayed beautifully.
Listen to the song "L'hôtel Particulier" while reading the translated lyrics and you can feel and understand his love for her

Most Cat Power albums.
Not for the content itself, but the memories attached to the album

Is this you're first week on 4chan?
A lot of relatable lyrics as well as some that just hit me hard regardless makes me just want to cry into beer if I give this a chance to.
>>53543855
I keep trying to post this cool tool somebody made that allows people to filter their genre preferences and pick the right Buckethead Pike album for them, but it keeps telling me its spam. Frustrating.
>>53543922
I got this album for christmas and it's okay, like I don't mind listening to it but it's not the masterpeice it's made out to be. I really enjoy other things that Kramer has produced but I find this one to be a little soft, the Red Krayola cover in the bonus tracks was cool though.
>>53543931
You can't tell when someone is joking around? I think it might be your first week there, bb.
>>53543455
>I hate everyone that I know
>then i wonder where did my friends go

Also:

La Dispute - Somewhere blah blah
Grouper - Dragging a Dead Deer, Man Die Boat
Slint - Spiderland
Also, lately I get fucking goosebumps all the way through Mount Eerie's Lost Wisdom.
>>53544261
MOMMY IS MY DADDY, AND DADDY'S NOT VERY NICE
>>53544018
I am the guy who posted Public Castration because it entails the entirety of my self-loathing/clinical depression, but this album was also on repeat once I realized the one person who gets me the best doesn't have romantic feelings for me.
>>53544308
As a result that girl kinda became my Jane Doe so I had that on repeat, too. I don't get why ITAOTS is feels worthy though. Maybe I'll feel it better once I am not depressed.
