Ignoring the anti-brit autism, this is fucking spot on. Going to a club doesn't mean shit. You sound like teenagers who turned of age last week and now treat clubs like muh seekrit undgrnd thing.

Just because you go to a club doesn't mean you have good /bleep/ taste. And it doesn't make your opinion any more worthy than someone who opts to listen bleeps in the comfort of their own home. There are many reasons why somebody wouldn't go to clubs (tinnitus, not sociable enough, living in a small American town, bad clubs in the area etc).

Anywhere in America duh

There are decent festivals here, and there are decent acts in some of the major cities. I personally go to 4-5 festivals a year, and I go clubbing 2-3 times per month. On top of going to parties

I have nothing against clubbing, and I wish there were better acts coming to my city, what I hate are the chav cunts who fit this stereotype >>53307217 and all they talk about is dancefloor bangers. There are plenty of bleep albums that aren't strictly dancefloor bangers (ofc in the hands of a good dj anything goes in a club), coming here and hyping hurrr #hessleaudio while ignoring just about everything else. I personally don't see the fun or the point on talking about a borderline djtool 12-min track that is in dire need of a Dj to give it some life. I rarely see bleeps album discussed here. >>
>>53307317
I remember when I was 16, I diagnosed myself with social anxiety, did all the meyers briggs test and concluded I was an INTJ, though there was a possibility that I had mild aspergers. I was online-schooled at the time, I sat at home all day, had no friends. Went surfing a few times a week but that was the only time I left the house.

I couldn't even enjoy a true nerd lifestyle, I had a crappy macbook that could barely watch YouTube videos, so I couldn't even do much gaming. I was living with my mom at the time, we ended up moving to the downtown area of a city, I got a job, started interacting with people, earned enough money to build a computer, finished highschool with good grades, saved enough cash to pay for 2-3 years of community college before I transfered to uni. Got into audio hardware. Made friends (to be honest, I still don't have friends IRL, but I'm much closer to online friends than pretty much any "real life" relationship. I think differentiating between them is silly).

This is a bit rambley, but basically I put myself out there, jumped off the deep end despite considering myself an INTJ with social anxiety, and I discovered that meyers briggs shit is bullshit, social anxiety can be overcome (if its real your psychologist should prescribe you something for it) and you can live a happy and healthy life.

well I never said a club would play a whole album, where are you getting this retarded idea?

What I am saying is that discussing club music while sitting in a chair in front of a computer is pants on head retarded. There is a ton of /bleep/ albums that get released each month (by bleep djs nonetheless). They never get discussed here, instead it's all "12 min club music that is mean to be played 5% faster and it sounds boring without a Dj"

Fucking stupid if you ask me.
>>
>>53307489
who is your favourite dj/producer?
>>
>>53307513
i.e. listening to club music at home only gives you a fraction of the overall experience. it's enjoyable, no doubt about it, but you also miss out on a lot too

>>53307568
thanks man, didn't word it very well tbh but the point is there
>>
>>53307480
>I remember when I was 16, I diagnosed myself with social anxiety
Stopped reading here, I also remember being a retard when I was 16.

You probably also thought you had OCD because you like things to be neat.

I don't have social anxiety, I don't go clubbing because it sounds like it would be shit. And as a bonus, going to clubs now would very little to the 'knowledge' I have already got of my favourite bleep genres.
>>
>>53307586
There are 149 available threads on this board, this is one of them, its not for you, its not what you want, you want something else.

PROTIP: start a thread about what you want to talk about
>>
>>53307513

>muh false analogies

Why are you Yuropoors so fucking autistic? I don't live in Yurop so I don't go clubbing that often. But I don't live with mommy either, so I have a sound treated room where I blast my bleeps, I throw parties here and I go out clubbing when a decent act comes this way

For the last time, going to a club /=/ "getting" bleeps.
>>
>>53307551
jackin' needs some more love on bleep fo sho
>>
>>53307287
why weren't you at marble factory on saturday
>>
>>53307513
yeah. it's also important to remember that most producers create their tracks with the club in mind. they're not making tunes for people to listen to at home. they're made with the specific intent to be played in a club. when the the tracks are released they're released for djs to buy to go and play out
>>
>>53307513
You can listen (and fully understand) to Mozart masses without going to church or even being christian
>>
>>53307551

I know which I prefer. Same goes for clubs.

>>53307551
It was okay. Preferred last year's Dance Mania comp even though it's not my kind of bleeps usually.
>>
>>53307674

and its also important to remember that a lot of those Djs also release albums with home listening in mind.
>>
>>53307674
yep, there was some tweet recently by four tet listing a load of tracks (by him and others) that were written specifically for plastic people

yet farmyard americans still saying clubs aren't worthwhile to the overall experience. ah well
>>
>>53307679
no, not fully
>>
hi /bleep/ i come to you with a question

i've been amateuristicly trying to make electronic music myself including vocals

problem: i am terrible at singing

my question: where do you get your vocal samples?

or should i go ask /prod/
>>

Also for all the people going to festivals before going to clubs.

>Clubs >> Festivals
fetivals are good but their to big / crowded imo, and only can ger the best out of it with a good crowd of friends and people that you know going there.
i do reccomend going to a local(?) club that has a good nice international dj our one of the detroit legends playing.

if you like you liked it, if you don't you yust wasted maby 10-15 euro/ dollars but hey atleast you saw a interesting dj.
also fuck social anxiety you will notice that a lot of the people listening techno aren't really the popular jock kind our something.
>>
>>53307719
That would be a different discussion and consequently a different thread altogether.

aww you just have no one to go with :(

i go clubbing by myself a lot when i'm staying in a new city, but you'll find you meet nice people fairly quickly. in any case it's worth it for the sound alone~
>>
>>53307749
either know people who can sing and have the required know-how for proper recording

or sample old records

Sorrow's latest EP was solid, a pretty great variety. I wish there were more artists putting out stuff like this.

dance music began in a social setting. dance music reproduces in a social setting. it's part of the experience, not to mention you don't have the equipment to even come close.

if clubbing wasn't fun, why would so many people do it?
>>

>>
/bleep/ = bangers and club music discussion

is your tune a banger that would work in a mix with other bangers? regardless if it's /bloop/ or /bloep/, it is /bleep/. no sane club goer supports close-mindedness. if the shitposters here actually attended clubs they would know this.

as for the club music exclusivity, the anons before me got it right
>>53307679

/bleep/ music is no more special that rock music or classical music, get off your high horses. death of the artist and etc.
>>
>>53307787

we're worse than metal about our genre wars, its part of the genre, learn it.

>>53307765

That's what this place is for. 99% of the time I can find my own shit to listen to but the last 1% is someone recommending something and me checking it out because it might be something I'm into.

It works out better for quality control as well since there's more people's opinion to take into account than just one person (and in my life so far I know one other person who listens to bleeps and the only overlapping genre we have in common is Grime).
>>
hi /bleep/ is classic dubstep still around or did the genre move toward futurebass or whatever its called?
>>
>>53307960
when i say old records i mean old records, so no digital sampled initially. if you have local record stores just go digging. you dont even have to go in with the intention of spending a dime. just listen to some old stuff which has been forgotten. thats my approach to sampling personally
