I quite like the idea of dreamy hip hop beats and noisy spoken word, the random bursts of sound at points make it a little bit scary as you never know what will happen next. Very interesting.

Carthago takes a bit of time to build up, but when it does it's brilliant, and I love the sudden change in sound. I love the dreamy vibe on Mijn kamer = mijn boot with the slowly building distorted sounds towards the end. Recommended.

Fuck this is great. It's like I Could Live in Hope meets Neon Bible meets LYSFLATH and it's great. The dark buildup and thumping rhythm on the first track are brilliant. Heavily recommended.

I remember listening to this a lot earlier last year, and I still love it. The mellow guitars set a lovely backdrop for the changing rhythms and subtle details you add into the music, recommended too.

The shifting layers of clean synths on each of the tracks are great. I was expecting it to sound cheesy but this is really nice, and the shifty reverb and delay effects keep it interesting.

Yeah I recorded it when I was younger and I just wanted to make something that even if it wasn't "good" at least it was raw and didn't sound like other shit. Times have changed in my compositional efforts since then, but that album established (to me at least) ideas in song strutcure that I've been able to really develop over time

I'd say that for post hardcore you should get some really good overdrive guitar pedals (Big Muffs are great) and have a good drummer, depending on what sort of stuff you want to do.

Must say, I feel that the vocals are a little loud in the mix in some places, like the start of 'Lazy'. But that's just my personal opinion and a tiny thing I'm saying just because you mentioned you'll be making more, it's absolutely great.

Your new album is really good. It didn't hit me as hard as your previous one but that's not really fair because you're doing a lot of the same things as you've been doing in all your albums and the previous one was the first one I heard.

Yeah I really like HHC, they're on Athematic Kitty and he often plays brass with Sufjan live, so a pretty cool guy by all accounts.

I'm intrigued by your description. I think your album art could be better with a fairly slight tweak. It's a good photo but I'd like to see what it looks like with the text in all-caps SANS-SERIF in the lower left corner instead of sorta in the middle in some italicized font.
Also, in the future, I'd like to see more attention paid to the way the percussion is recorded. These beats could definitely hit harder and deeper and it'd still be in line with the feel you're going for.
Also: Good for you asking for e-mail addresses when free download is selected. That is thinking ahead.

Because a fan that you can keep in touch with is more useful than a fan you can't. Otherwise, you rely entirely on your fans to just somehow know when you've made more music and that is a leaky bucket.
Someone who refuses to download anything they can't get for at least an e-mail address is probably not that valuable. If they are dedicated enough, there are always ways to get the music without having to trade an e-mail address.
