Thoughts on Waka Flocka Flame's music?
This is some terrible music right here.
His debut sparked a revolution in popular music. Doesn't mean it's good music, but he popularised the aggressive, trap-influenced bangers that litter soundcloud
He changed the game for better or for worse. Definitely music you listen to for the energy, not for anything else, but his lyricism has gotten better (even though that isn't saying much).
New mix tape was dope. looking forward to flockaveli 2
What's better the bonus or standard edition?

Not often do bands successfully reach a creative peak as strong as these two bands did with 'The Moon and Antarctica' and 'Perfect From Now On'. Both albums utilize experimentation, but also stay true to the bands relative style crafted across previous albums. Musically, the bands used complex arrangements with a wide variety of instruments, and took full advantage of studio manipulation, a major step forward from previous "guitar/bass/drums" and "verse/chorus/verse" setups. Lyrically, the songwriting captures deep philosophical ideas...

I dont know what to add. But, good post

I certainly agree on PFNO and I hold that album in much higher regard than the rest of BTS' discog and 90s indie rock in general. It's pretty mindblowing.
I've never actually heard TM&A tho. I dig LCW but I found it a little overlong and unfocused at times.
>>65658938
definitely give M&A a listen. If you love Perfect From Now On you'd probably really dig it

ITT: Post terrible album art
>>65658539
all album art is terrible. it reduces music to a commodity. flattens the complexity of emotion, spirit and power and formlessness of sound into a consumer object. its nothing more than branding or advertisement. it reduces profound artistic statements into commodity.

Hello friends, this is a thread for experimental music discussion. To clarify: Noise, drone, electroacoustic, free improvisation, futurism, indeterminacy, musique concrete, sound collage, and all that good stuff.
What have you been listening to? What have you been making? Movie and literature recommendations, concert experiences, gear, etc. are all welcome
>he thinks "Noise, drone, electroacoustic, free improvisation, futurism, indeterminacy, musique concrete, sound collage, and all that good stuff" still classifies as experimental music in 2016
lmao
>he's probably one of those RYM teenagers who wrote laughable and over-the-top gushing reviews of the equally laughable new Gerogerigegege album in an effort to show everyone how thoughtful and passionate he is about "experimental music"
double lmao
