Discuss these things here.

>what album have you been liking a lot lately?
>what is one of your favorite albums?
>aoty so far for you?

Recommend albums, share albums, and discuss some of your favorite musicians that fit in these genres and subgenres.

Don't be afraid to post if you're worried about it not fitting the genre. Music genre is a huge spectrum, and some people may enjoy your recommendations.

I'll start with one i liked from the thread yesterday that people might have missed.

Been listening to a lot of FAX stuff lately
Just finished this one, again
I love it, first track may sound cheesy to many but I think that if it's a perfect combination of jazz and techno ambient that it is
It's cheerful, spacey and in my opinion the repetitions never get boring
I gave it 4.5 stars because one or two weak moments, and the third track being a bit... uneventful
It's on soulseek but if you want a link I can try to upload

Coltrane- ascension

Anyone like this?

If The Prodigy improves upon this sound, might we see them become the breakbeat giants they were 20 years ago? It's a lot more consistent than IMD or AONO. Vocals are a bit annoying at times though.

That dog only has one back leg.
>>
>>54896837
That is a fox. And you seem to have mistaken his tail for a leg.
>>
The album is bad because for some reason every single song sounds almost the exact same and there's like an annoying white noise in the background

Also: nobody listens to Prodigy's songs for the lyrics, this is why their songs like "Diesel power" are shit

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK1eFrfqVhw&index=53&list=PL6akIKaXBeU3OPmgfz8kM1BnVAX0Zcbf5

Good dance/techno songs use lyrics as a tool, as in the example above, not the point and focus of the song

Can go from a fat fuzz to harsh noise wall depending on the setting
>>
>>54893321
My favorite pedal purchase ever was the Russian Big Muff. Slightly less abrasive than the standard, but still a great heavy tone.

>>54893365
This pedal is great too, but it requires a lot of parameter tweaking to get usable sounds (unless you're on that noise tip).

>>
>>54896411
Implying? It's explicitly clear that it wasn't. Seriously, the only legitimate excuse for considering this as your AOTY is if it was actually the only album you even listened to. Even Ultraviolence is better, and Lana Del Rey is bloody terrible.

Tyler, The Creator is edgy as fuck for no reason and is literally the shittiest lyricist of all time. You honestly should feel ashamed for liking him. Embarrassing.
