Probably the best plebian pop-rock band. I really like them and I don't feel bad about liking their first 3 albums in the slightest. Other two are guilty pleasures.

S/T made me get into This Heat and made me appreciate Deceit having not understood it at first.
The highs on S/T might be better than those on Deceit, but there's too much improv experimentation which doesn't hold up very well. Deceit is much more consistent and thought-out, so I'd say it's a better album.
