Note: I am talking about NON-AMERICAN countries where you can major in Medicine, Dentistry, etc as an UNDERGRADUATE)
Some high school students who got extremely good grades in their finals (i.e. good enough for Medicine in non-American countries) decide to major in Music. Why would they pick that?
It's a waste of their good marks to pick Music. The field is hard to break into. They pay is also significantly lower than many other fields. And really, all jobs become boring over time and each job has its own shitty aspects. Playing the same songs on a piano...

I got a 4.0 in high school, college credits in calculus, history and english, and a high enough SAT to get into an Ivy League School. IQ of probably 138.
I'm just better at music than I am at anything else. Music is easy. And I love it.

You can earn more by being a lawyer though. And really, all jobs are stressful.
>>61361770
Being a lawyer sucks dick unless you love being a lawyer. And yes, I have considered becoming a lawyer before. I even worked as a legal assistant.
Is there a way to download an entire Youtube playlist that doesn't involve purchasing softwear?
I was using Youtube Playlist Downloader but the trial expired.
4k video downloader

Doesn't do FLAC unfortunately.

I thought the audio in youtube videos was compressed to like 128 kbps or something anyway
I'm trying to make a playlist for drinking alone. Mostly sad songs. Current favorite at the moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MC8QcaMMVQE
Hook me up with some drinking songs /mu/

Great song. But not the kind of music I like drinking to. You got anything slower?
Maybe?

Blue, though Pinkerton has their best song (Tired of Sex)

That song hits
Blue > Pinkerton
Great bands that only released one album
>>61361264
is this criteria strict? one full length album and nothing else? one full length album and a few 7"s etc? no full length but a few 7"s that equal the length of an album?

Have a pity reply my friend
Just ordered 100 tapes for my label ama

How much are you going to sell them for faggot?
So I probably know the answer I'm going to get, but I'll ask anyway.
What does /mu/ think of Cage the Elephant and their new album?
this is 9/10
>>61361224
Thank You Happy Birthday was great. Noise rock ventures and lots of Pixies vibes made it a fun listen
this album, like everything that Black Keys dude touches, is shit
>>61361224
I like Cage the Elephant, but what's his fuck from the Black Keys who produced it can only do the Black Keys sound, which fucking up the already dying Cage the Elephant sound. Melophobia was already shitty in comparison to Thank You Happy Birthday and their self titled, and this pales in comparison to that. Also, what >>61361260 said
My sister's soon-to-be husband is into Bring Me The Horizon, Kid Cudi, 21 Pilots, etc etc
How do I hold a conversation about these artists I barely listen to?

Bad idea, there's no reason for someone to get married at 16.
ur new brother in law must be scaruffi cause he is marrying a 12 year old
Can we get an Arcade Fire thread going?

Let's take a drive, through the sprawl.
Through the towns they built to change.
Then you said, the emotions are dead.
It's no wonder why you feel so strange.

"Can you understand, that I want a daughter while I'm still young. I wanna hold her hand, and show her some beauty before this damage is done. But if it's too much to ask, send me a son" Arcade Fire~The Suburbs
Fun fact: since he has a son now, when I saw them live at the Forum in L.A., he changed the lyrics to " if it's too much to ask, send me the perfect son". I think it was a heartwarming little twist. Anyone...

A few good songs but much worse than Vessel
The fact that they acknowledge it's derivitive and targeted towards the same shitty audience only makes it worse
