This album left me blown away, /mu/. What other albums would you recommend from Elephant 6 or Orange Twin Records? Already gotten into Neutral Milk Hotel, Olivia Tremor Control and Nana Grizol.
>>66138294
try the beatles theyre pretty good
>>66138294
nothing in the elephant six collective is good besides neutral milk which itself is usually just okay
im guessing you browse r/indieheads and unironically for some reason think this completely mediocre piece of pop is better than say the beatles when it is literally the beatles with more gimmicky whacky randum x) sounds

I was very much into Elephant 6, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Nana Grizol a couple of years ago.
These days I've been digging Tame Impala, Pond, and Gum.
Enjoy!

does mu like blue album
for the longest fucking time i thought that pinkerton came out BEFORE the blue album and with that I liked both.
After I found out the truth and i don't feel strongly about either one anymore.
fuck weezer
>>66138237
i like it, but i don't speak on behalf of the whole of /mu/ unfortunately
It's their best album but it's still mediocre.
Recommend me some rap albums that don't touch on racial prejudice themes. That's annoying as fuck.

Born to Run
what went wrong?
nothing
>>66137820
so why did they go from being pretty good to the complete shit they have been the last few albums?
they lost their edge
Just need something with that "crushing" guitar sound in Sometimes. Something that came close was a couple of songs in Siamese Dream.
>>66137528
Sometimes isn't "crushing" it's just extremely warm and fuzzy.
>>66137572
Yeah, sure, i didnt meant crushing in that way, but whatever
Just something with that guitar distortion

>>66137417
Boatman's Call / Tender Prey
Tender Prey / Let Love In
Who's hyped about Skeleton Tree? I feel this might be his best and most honest album in a long time.
Your Funeral.../The Good Son/Henry's Dream/Grinderman 2
But really he hasn't made an album I've completely hated
Thoughts?
overrated but good
Very good

Are they overrated by anyone besides metal fans?

Yeah, the horrible truth about Ambient 1: Music for Airports, one that no one wants to talk about, is that it's pleasant, in the worst way possible. I mean, pleasant, the same way handjobs given from an inexperienced girl who has never seen the equipment or is unused to moving her hands in a certain way is pleasant, because its better than nothing. This is certainly a step above John Cage's "4'33" (oh, man, he did not go there) but why listen to Ambient 1: Music for Airports when you can listen to anything else at all is beyond me. Why settle for a clumsy...
