>old old old fag here.
inb4 you fine folks will never ever know the impact this had not only on music, but society as a whole.
Young people, old people, middle aged people - there was nobody in 1982 who wasn't groovin' to this album. And unlike Bieber, there was no dissension, no hate, and no rabid followers looking to jump Michael's bones. This man was simply a presence, the likes of which hasn't been seen since.
I kid you not, this music would play outside of restaurants on external speakers (they had...

I can't wait to see her mugshot after she murders someone, I'd imagine she would have the same look on her face.
How come he never did harsh noise?
That doesn't make money.

that wasn't really a thing in the '90 for normal teenagers to enjoy.
Cause it would never top Bleach

Trying to find Burzum clones, especially stuff that sounds like Filosofem and Hvis Lyset Tar Oss. I've found plenty of Atmospheric/Ambient BM bands that are similar, and sound great in their own way, but only one that sounds like an actual clone (TOBC). Some bands I've already tried are Wigrid, Wolves in the Throne Room, Coldworld, Darkspace, Walknut, Xasthur, Nargaroth... the list goes on. Chances are you guys will post bands I've already tried but it's worth a shot :p since I've already spent hours searching and listening. Help me out guys.
>darkspace
have you tried Paysage D'Hiver or Beastlor? Nobody knows about the latter.
>>61555395
this and yeah... is very emotional
>>61555464
Yeah I've tried Paysage D'hiver, pretty good stuff but not quite what I'm looking for. Haven't heard of Beastlor though so I'll give them a shot, thanks !

What was the best and was the worst decade for music and why? Vote and comment.
BEST: http://strawpoll.me/6455851
WORST http://strawpoll.me/6455857
So can we conclude that the 1990s are /mu/'s favorite music decade with 1970s being a strong runner-up?
>Best
The 70s in my honest opinion. There was a lot of experimentation in music at the time, especially in Electronic Music (my personal genre of choice) with people like Jean Michel Jarre, Alans Parson. etc. Not to mention the emergence of Krautrock from bands like Faust.

As for the
>Worst
The 10s.
So far, there is not a lot of experimentation and creativity coming out of the 10s. It feels like pop music is slowly being phased out and there are only a few notable artist that some may consider to be good from this decade. Maybe it's still to early to say how I feel about this decade overall but for some reason I feel like memes have been the reason why music from this era just seems forced. Even the 2000s had its fair share of decent music. I can only name a few band from this decade that I like.

Undertale has boring music that is competently composed

Awesome soundtracks lol. I agree.
What's the musical equivalent of almond milk?
"Post-punk revival" like Viet Cong, Protomartyr and Savages. A watered-down, substanceless imitation of the real thing

Because dairy milk is absolutely disgusting.

I want the standards, the top ten, the diamonds that will be remembered in a hundred years.
I don't want your subjective personal favorite.
I don't want that one obscure album that noone has heard about but is really great.
I want the big 'uns.
Starting with number one.

A Love Supreme
The Black Saint
Anyone on here going to Reading or Leeds this summer? A little bird is telling me that the other two headliners alongside RHCP will be Foals and The Stone Roses.
Also bands that haven't been announced yet but are playing include Disclosure, Tame Impala, Enter Shikari, Wolf Alice, The Vaccines, Manic Street Preachers, Rancid and A Day To Remember.
Jesus, that sounds awful.
>>61555051
The festival has been shit since about 2010. Too many normie Arctic Monkeys and Skrillex fans.
Honestly they may not seem like it, but Enter Shikari can put on a fucking show.
But their new album licks ass
I really don't get it. What is so good about this guy's music?
nothing
Do you live in America?
