i've only heard Catch My Shoe but im aware of their incredibly large and varied discography. I've downloaded Joggers & Smoggers as well as Scrabbling At The Lock to cover the bases, but i want one more that emphasizes the longer experimental rock tracks, the louder and noisier the better.
Double Order, Tree Float, Life Whining, and especially Bicycle Illusion were my favorite songs off Catch My Shoe. I need more dynamic/experimental guitar music.
1991 - 2006 is their best period.
Turn has quite a few long tracks on it and is probably what you want. It's a double album too.
They just release a live album covering performances from 1991 to last year which is also very good and covers a lot of ground in their sound from free improv, to the noise rock stuff, to their Ex Orkest stuff which is essentially "experimental big band", to the stuff they did with Brass Unbound.

Terrie and Andy have collaborations with other people, mostly being free improv, especially with Terrie, but Andy has some instrumental rock stuff too and also some Electroacoustic Improvisation stuff which is pretty cool. And finally NLDW is their most original sounding album and therefore should be considered their best IMO

The LP120 has an unfixable hum problem that is also present in the PL120 even if you don't use the built in preamp.
I'd recommend away from this if you ever want to upgrade to a moving magnet cartridge, becuase this hum will be noticiably audible. By default, its not that bad. It only has a s/n ratio of 50 which is terrible, but its cheapish.
Check craigslist. I'd recommend an old pioneer if you can make sure its in good condition. The PL-610 is one that is very good to look for an isn't...
