What are some albums that go out of their way to be unhip, obnoxious, or lame? I've got this and Song Cycle, love both.
Pet Sounds was pretty unhip and lame for it's time. It's as if that album came from a world where the counter-culture of the time never happened.

Every station does. It's a million times better than normal radio stations, at least the ones I've heard, but radio stations do generally need to have repetition. They can't really just play completely new songs all the time. Blog radio on XMU is pretty good though at playing pretty obscure things and not really having much repetition. Generally the specialty shows are better than the normal programming. Dark Wave is another good program that's on First Wave.
