>>64775628
I wish the rest of the album was as good as the first three tracks
>that fucking outro to The Glow
>>64775652
But it is anon

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Lot of the ideas on the second half feel somewhat half-baked and it's frustrating because they could be great songs in their own if they were more developed. It doesn't really pick up until IFYS/Samurai Sword/My Warm Blood, which are made great by the story behind them more than anything.
Mount Eerie did have that unison and cohesion but lacked the peaks of The Glow (excepting a moment or two), so I'm left in the odd position where both are good but not amazing
What went wrong?

Is this album a joke now or should I actually listen to it?
>>64775199
It's actually pretty good
if it wasn't ultra popular and memey people on /mu/ would hail it as incredibly solid psych/freak folk
It's part of the modern canon. give it a listen you won't regret it
>>64775199
insanely good lyrically (you will rarely find better lyricism in music). Simple instrumentally but still captivating. It is in my personal opinion a 9/10- all memes aside it is really damn good. It is one of the only 2 /mu/ core albums in my personal top 20. Highly recommended
when did you grow out of your phase of being an edgy contrarian and hating on the beatles, radiohead and pink floyd?
I haven't yet
probably never, unless I earn money to buy food maybe?
i think less of you as a person if you say you hate the beatles
>>64775068
when did you grow up of being an idiot and thinking that liking popular and widly accepted bands makes more "mature"

GOAT if you don't mind repetition or the pop formula. Love the textures. Great with drugs
Does Twenty one Pilots remind anyone else of Animal Collective?
>>64774856
Yes, but 21 Keks is better.
Why do people listen to this album when it's so dated and Twenty One Pilots did the same thing better?

Does anyone else feel like drums are overrated and holding back music?
It's like 95 percent of music is just the same frequencies hitting you on the head over and over to move your body.
accept your noise-overlords
Only fucking hipsters feel this way or even think about this shit. Your brain has evolved to appreciate drums and bass. Rhythm is an integral part of music.
I don't know if they're holding us back, but I have noticed a lot of popular music is overly reliant on just drums + a vocal melody. disappointing tbqh

WE ARE REACHING LEVELS OF HYPE THAT SHOULDN'T BE POSSIBLE
Definitely better than the last teaser.

>inb4 the album gets lowered ratings because of the rape hoax
I've been to Cambodia before and there are many amputees due to land mines, I mean as a foot fetisher, its depressing.
