I'm giving it a re-listen right now, I just started Polaroids of Polar Bears.
definitely one of the first few bands that really got me into music. First time I heard music that was so exciting and shifting all over the place and having such juxtaposing vocals, and the bassist actually played melodies. Noticing a bit of a post-rock feel that I never noticed before.
only good sceneshit album
What compares to this album?

This might've sounded pretentious. What I meant was, what are other albums that are similar to this one in sound and style?
fecal matter

>Rock is dead
No, Gene Simmons career is dead.
Also how can it be dead when Car Seat Headrest released a album this year?
>>65168599
File sharing didn't kill rock, rock was already dead.
Nothing last forever. Hiphop is on its last legs, it's practically on life support at this point.
Do people use Foobar?
Got a new laptop and don't need to use iTunes anymore.
Retards do.

I know some people who unironically think this is the better album
I like music and enjoy having thought provoking discussions.
Feminism is not a hate movement and there are lots of good artists who sing about speaking out against sexism.

you first
This album really didn't need to be an hour long. Especially since the songs get kind of same-y after a while. 30 minutes probably would've been best.
What did y'all think of it?
I think if you just take it at face value then it does seem a bit lengthy. I think delving into the lyrics is what keeps me listening mostly though
rhyming girl w/ world for a whole 5 minutes or whatever.
pretty fucking bad
Why did the critics like this shitty band back in the 2000s again?
>>65168258
Spoon is pretty catchy. I enjoy the majority of the albums.
Not mind blowing but much better than the majority of the indie scene.
>>65168258
Spoon is good
>>65168258
They aren't shitty, they have some good stuff.
Gimme Fiction and Kill the Moonlight were good albums. Not groundbreaking, but good.
