I'm with ya Woot, but the reason the far right is getting louder is because campuses have facilitated and encouraged people in the past 30 years that being a special snowflake, for whatever reason, is more important than being an American. You hit the nail on the head when you said that an important part of America is to assimilate and strive for the opportunity this country give but that doesn't seem to be what the media and the education system is expressing on the people that come here from elsewhere. You can be Black, Muslim, Asian, mexican ect. But if you are here you need to be an American first, all the rest comes second and you have to come here legally.

All of the news stations have been pumping "entertainment" over actual journalism for so long people have lost sight of what this country really is and what it stands for, social media has only exacerbated the problem and now we have colleges segregating (or students calling for segregation) based on race and religion so they can circle jerk over the shit they have heard their parents/media feed them. Any kind of disagreement or dissent is met with calls of "ism" instead of an actual exchange of ideas. It's bullshit, it keeps happening and it's going to keep happening because the "victim" role is now the most important anf popular one you can play in society.
