And also, take it from someone who is in a constant state of apprenticeship, you are doing a good job. There's always room to perfect your craft, but you are doing pretty well so far.
Because of that, I'll share with you my secrets.
Take for instance this webm

This is a simple two frame animation that was staged via multiple layers in Paint.Net
All phases (stand and squat) were in the same image, however Phase 1 animations (stand) were made unseen, and the image was saved as K2. The same was done with Phase 2 animations (Squat) and the image was saved as K1.
Then utilizing gifmaker.me, I repeated the sequence of K1, K2 about 4 times with a frame animation speed of 450 milliseconds. I saved this as an .mp4 and threw it into Sony Vegas where I added the audio, rendered it as an HD mp4, which was then converted to a webm.
For simplistic animations, you can simply do frame by frame, this is usually varies between 1-10 still frames that usually repeat in a cycle. (Like a walk cycle, one of the easiest animations)
However, animation as per complex requires tools to smooth the frames. Some of these tools are smudging and smearing, which helps with the animation at normal playback speed, but looks absolutely hilarious when creating and in slow motion.
A good example of this would be the original Simpsons opening.
So depending on how complex you want your animation to be, really depends on how you should go about it. A complex gif/webm can have unlimited amount of frames, however needs precise timing and editing in a video editor (which would then need to be converted to .gif/.webm via Any Video Convertor)
A simplistic gif/webm only really requires gifmaker.me and just organizing how the animations are ordered, and what speed between the frames there should be.
