/mlp/ management are busy testing different team setups to decide what kind of team to use this summer. A selection of those test games will be streamed to give the board a sneak peek behind the scenes. The games are arranged like a cup group stage, so cheer for your favorite team to win it all (even though that “winner” may not be the team build used later this summer). Fake horse teams include: /wdb/ Wonderbolts, /sdb/ Shadowbolts, /pnk/ Too Many Pinkie Pies, /cdf/ Cloudsdale Factory, /eqg/ Equestria Girls, and newcomers /pow/ Power Ponies!

Anime characters tend to follow very set archetypes. I don't think I have to elaborate on that point. Overwatch characters are all set stereotypes. Sexy assassin chick, grizzled veteran, asian chick with a mech, a cowboy, a pudge alike. They are all painfully uncreative when you think about it.

Neither series is perfect, but I gave up analyzing the fuck out of kids shows a while ago... Right around the time I started realizing what was making Power Rangers so shit.
MLP is cool, EQG is 'not as good', but I think it's kinda cool in its own way. There's still some enjoyable qualities about it... though I do refuse to consider any of it canon to the series. Not because I'm bitter it exists or anything, it's just the whole concept of kids shows getting movies rarely has them matter to the series at all and never get mentioned afterwards, which makes me think they were more spin-offs or something. Until I see some verbal reference to EQG in MLP (not just a random Flash Sentry cameo), the movies are just spin-offs with good and bad qualities, and porn fuel.
And... I kinda like that about them. Can at least say they entertained me to a degree for one reason or another. Could've been waaaaay worse.

But seriously, I'd rather not see another team added for two reasons. One, if you don't want to cut a team, you have to add a team. It currently takes them 15 games to run one group stage and PMB said they'd like to run 20 groups. That's 300 matches. If you add a seventh team, that's 21 matches per group, x 20 groups = 420 dank tests to run. Maybe they can do that with 3 people in a short amount of time, but I'd be worried they couldn't spend enough time with any given team to really test its strengths and weaknesses.
Two, if you don't want to add a team, you have to cut a team, and I've grown too attached to these teams to want to see any of them cut.
