I agree that rainbowdash is stronger and an athlete at that, but Horses not only put 75% of their weight on their forehooves due to their long neck (which ponies still have, and with their head if anything they put more) but they have to put 100 percent of that weight on them if they want to buck anything. Applejack's forehooves are probably just as strong as her back hooves.

Standing on a limb or using it doesn't quality that limb for being strong. The limb is design for the function it was born for but can still under preform without a strong reliance or care, even weaken if other limbs are preferred heavily.
Compared to even the other mane 6, Applejack relies far less on her front hooves than the others. Maybe a reason in that AJ is the least likely to mimicking human behavior and movements in general, like shadow boxing.

I wish they had balanced out the races more on the show. Wouldn't have killed them to make the earth ponies consistently stronger physically. As someone pointed out, pegasi would more realistically have hollower bones and lighter parts in general. Could have added to Dash's character if her being a tough-girl required more courage and it was actually stupid of her to be the way she is.
