Still, looking into how the three tribes worked, earth ponies did not exactly like the way they had to slave ways back then and it seems they are pretty averse to unicorn magic powering things instead of some actual technology (Flim Flam vs the factory setup in Bad Ending - Sombra, balloons and airships instead of pegasus carriages,...).

Magic moves the sun and moon, and always has according to ponies, and magic FRIENDSHIP power is the only thing keeping their society from collapsing into a frozen wasteland, or so they believe.

They simply put their weight behind h.264 (MP4/MKV) and deemed WebM's shortcomings as too major (like its string dependence on CPU).

I really liked this episode. Who wrote it and what were their other episodes like? It just came off like a fun little episode with a bit of Rarity drama. Her yelling about spoilers was great.
I really liked the whole interviewing them thing. Seeing them simply in a booth either fidgeting or what have you while answering questions was amusing and well done. AJ just being there during one of RD's questions had me puzzled but smiling. Pinkie talking about multiple clones of ones self and one being behind her. Flutters playing with the spoon and treating the raccoons to a meal.
I think I liked it better than the Christmas episode actually. I mean not that it was bad or anything, it just felt more like a FiM episode to me.

I think not only did Twilight regularly do that with the elements of harmony rainbow, and the princesses transfer their power willingly to Twilight,
but that's my theory to how the "power of love" worked between Shining and Cadance when defeating Chrysalis: When their horns touched an exhausted Shining cast the shield spell using Cadance's deep alicorn mana pool.
I bet unicorns touching horns could do this pretty readily.
