Flash was a huge mistake, and even the writers know it. Even little grills hated the idea of him dating Twilight. He was completely blocked by Sci-Twi in FG without even a hint she would ever change her mind and we haven't seen him in FiM for ages. I hope to god they just saw sense and decided to phase him out quietly as a failed experiment.
