So /mlp/ what's the consensus on the latest episode? Good, bad, forgettable?
>>
>>27040657
It exceeded my expectations in pretty much every way
>>
>>27040657
Felt pretty boring and pointless.
>>
>>27040657
>>27040664 This.

I really like CMC episodes but I was expecting something terrible because the first 3 episodes were awful.

This episode is by far my favourite in this season.
>>
>>27040657
there was nothing wrong with it, it was just boring, and while not quite feeling "predictable" it still feels that way looking back, somehow.
i'd call it a 5/10, but rating systems are so fucking inflated nowadays that 7.5/10 really means 5/10 so 7.5/10, because of how average it was/
>>
>>27040657
I felt the pacing was off, but I cant really put my finger on it. I also felt that the whole "misunderstanding" thing was shit. But it was enjoyable and developed the CMC more
>>
>>27040853
I didn't get the "misunderstanding" thing either. It seemed really tacked on to add some kind of resolution after the fact but there was no drama leading up to the fact that AB thought her friends wanted to leave her forever.
>>
It was lewd
>>
>>27040675
This.

I'd go so far as to say that this episode is now one of my favourites. It definitely makes up for last three episodes.

>>27040865
>there was no drama leading up to the fact that AB thought her friends were going to leave her
See Bloom & Gloom.
>>
>>27040657
Whats with the different end credits song with every episode? Don't they know any sort of change will cause me to jump ship?

It's interesting that they decided to switch it up a little RIP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6ZaCY0sToo

>Whats with the different end credits song with every episode?
I've been thinking about this since S6 started but I was too afraid to say anything about it...
>>
>>27040967
I always felt that the ending song was very jarring at the end of the episode, since the original MLP song really didn't fit with the theme of the episode soundtrack. Maybe the producers decides that it sounded better to end the episode with a more appropriate tune for each episode.
>>
>>27040657
Pretty underwhelming. Why exactly did only AB have the problem? Song was also weak.
>>
>>27040657
crossed the line of shitty
>>
The writing was pretty bland and awkward; the first half was just a bunch of gags cobbled together, while the second felt rushed and... pointless, I guess.

It was Appleloosa's Most Wanted all over again, which, ironically enough, was written by Polsky as well. The only difference is, there was the Tree Hugger scene and more waifus, which is going to obviously affect how some folks perceive the episode.
>>
>>27040657
I cringed and I laughed. But I mostly cringed.
>>
>>27040657
9/10, cute and heartwarming
>>
>>27040657
It was alright.

>the first 3 episodes were awful
Nice meme
>>
>>27040657

Sweet
Over-average CMC ep
They are usually crap
>>
>>27042580

I can't fathom how anyone can like this episode over the first three. At least they had life to them, whereas this one actually felt like the show was flat-lining.
>>
>>27042493
This, the first half was a bunch of shit mashed together, first it was about they doing things separated from each other, them the focus was on Bulk Biceps, them it was back on them, them suddenly AB afraid for some fucking reason (even though Bloom Groom already adressed that issue), them a song that wasn't bad but felt out of place, and finally a small conflict that could have been extended to the whole episode

In other words, it was full of pointless shit that went nowhere an AB was fucking retarded
>>
>>27042657
>Premier
>exposition: the episode
>almost no personality
>shitty new alicorn just because

>A Gift for Maud Pie
>same kind of joke we've seen on Maud Pie
>pinkie repeating the same jokes over and over again
>story seemed disconnected
I do have to say that rarity was quite good and the lesson was sweet in the end.

>On Your Marks
>suddenly forgetting that they should help other ponies after CotLM
>disconnected scenes like when they helped bulk biceps
>scootaloo 2.0
>rushed conclusion. sweetie belle just knew that that filly haven't a cutie mark out of thin air
I do like how Applebloom felt alone/helpless when her friends "left" her to have fun by themselves, since we knew that Applebloom feared something like that from B&G.
>but she loved to make potions/carpentry before
Well, she always did those things when her friends were together.
I also liked how they prepared the soil for the CMC and how cute that ending was when they helped scoots 2.0.

Sadly it wasn't that good either.
>>
>>27040657
8.5/10
I was not sober, when i watched it yesterday, and i also did't rewatch since then. So my rating might soon change.

Maybe i am wrong, but was this first episode where none of the mane 6 made an appearance?
>>
It was good for a CMC episode, I guess.
6/10
>>
>>27040657
>>
Unfocused as all fucking fuck.
It literally couldn't decide whether it wanted to be about the CMC helping people find their cutie marks or finding things to do as friends.
If you don't have a good enough idea to fill a fucking 22 minute episode, don't fucking try to make the episode.
God fucking damnit.

Lewd fillies showing off ass

Nailed it bruvh
>>
>>27040657
forgettable habershit. nothing worthwhile yet this season
>>
>>27040657
Best episode so far.
I liked that they showed that roaming Equestria was a long way off and getting your cutie mark does not equate to instantly being prepared for life.

I liked that the episode avoided the obvious story about having something as your special talent and being bad at it but instead went the opposite way. Your so good at your purpose that you solve all the problems really fast and have nothing to do in the meantime.

Applebloom skirting the edge of cutimark failure ala party of one/lesson zero when she realizes she can't find anyone to help or hang out with her friends was a nice return and they should have gone deeper with it.

In all nothing ground breaking but the episode was a well put together emotional piece that kept me interested from start to finish, the song was well done if forgettable and sat well in season six: the return of slice of life. 7/10
