In a few years the whole French landline network will go VoIP.
Some have voiced concerns about that.
We had the case in late 1999. Some big windstorm over the whole country with a lot of damages. A lot of power cables were down.
Yet the people were still able to use their phone to call for help thanks to the MDFs emergency power generators.
