The only thing really awful about S6 was Flurry and the exposition-heavy nature of the episode itself. The character interactions were decent and we got a bit of Crystal Playset lore (for what that's worth, anyway).
That "Newbie Dash" and the other episode synopsis make me worry about this one, however. Especially with the writers we have.

Group mane 6 episodes are generally not very good, and so are all episodes that have anything to do with the Crystal Empire, so I wasn't surprised that it was terrible and don't like the series any less than before because of it. I can just hope the CMC keep getting their excellent characterization and cute episodes and that there's some nice M6 pairing episodes here and there where they can actually have unique personalities instead of all blindly following Twilight around and sometimes spewing some dumb shit that fits their archetype
