Well, I've had this view since I was trying to read both Shooting Stars and RenneQuest about a year ago.
SS was on Hiatus, but was probably gonna come back, while RenneQuest was old and done. Despite me enjoying the story of Renne better, knowing it was done sapped all my motivation from reading it, while I still really wanted to catch up on SS so I could play in the next thread.
I also stopped trying to catch up on RGS because I knew it would end before I ever got to play. I only got to the section right before the botched ambush of the convoy.
Anyway, I've been QMing for a while now, and no one has told me to eat shit and stop so I assume I'm at least adequate.

I've read the whole thing, up until what is current now. You want me to believe you, then you provide me with evidence, or at least give me some samples with some reasoning behind it.
As far as I remember,(which I might just read through old stuff again for the hell of it) there has been no explicit signs we are directly controlling him. At most it seems like subtle suggestions.

Even so, we wont know for sure unless it gets revealed as such. I'm fine with it being suggestions and I'm also fine with it being mind control because I like grimdark twists.
Now what I want to know is if you are still planning writing your own version of CQ. I remember you mentioning that you wanted to depict Hope as more motherly and I was curious to see how that would turn out.

All she said was that it seems to be a demonic soul bound into the pendant,(heh, anon is the ultimate evil demon). That does suggest multiple things, but none of them are true without some compelling evidence.
And then she asked him if he felt like he was being controlled,(we're not even gonna get into how meta that whole damn statement is) and he said he didn't feel like he was. Being controlled would be doing something he didn't mean to do and then wondering why he did it.
From what I gathered it COULD be something swaying his decisions, but nothing is said that it is. Is it possible? Of course it is, but until I get proven wrong, i'm not gonna assume it is.

I like Emerald and I want to see him happy. I'd personally never deliberately do something I think he would not like.
