Have some epsiodes take place in the EqG. It would be a nice change of pace, plus it's not like it would focusing on entirely new charcters, only one of them is exclusive to the movies the rest are just the mane 6 on 2 legs

If they don't do a Sunset and Celestia reconciliation in a movie, they could do it in the show. Hell, now that Starlight's with them, they've got a good excuse to introduce who Sunset is for the people who haven't watched the movies.

If she appears on the background or even as a secondary character and literally no one acknowledges her or have a different personality then yes, it wouldn't taint the show. She'd be just another character like Cranky or Lyra.
