I would argue that a young woman who constantly flirts and uses her looks to get what she wants is in for a rude awakening at some point.
She lives in a small town. Even in Canterlot the games she was playing almost got her in major trouble during Twilight's birthday. (Although that example wasn't centered around her flirting for favors.)
I mean, I chalk it up to her being young and used to guys bending over backwards for her.
