There's nothing personal about it anon. Lolrandumb humor type reactions to video games and cartoons are quite similar these days on YT. It's not rocket science. It's what the kids and teens want and what these YouTubers make money doing. These people aren't bad for doing it. It just doesn't appeal to the older audiences that much. That's why I'm only interested in the first. Just an honest reaction. People think their packaging and polishing makes it better, but that just displays their skill (or lack of skill) at presenting and comedy writing.

Just because the two mostly cater to the same audience doesn't mean they have the same appeal. Most people play both videogames, watch movies, listen to music (etc.) of a certain style and most of these people are in the same demographic but to say that all of these provide the same experience is dumb. Same with youtube videos, even if on the broad level these things have similarities you can't really compare them as the same thing.
Besides it's a gross generalization to say all reaction videos and let's plays are aimed at kids. Yes a majority do but it's not hard to find stuff that doesn't.

Don't worry anon. The only "reaction" videos I'll ever spend my time watching are the ones done by professional directors, writers, and producers. Not YT "celebrity" ones.
My favorite being Bond film commentaries by stuntman and visionary directors mixed in with actors.
I get reaction videos being 6 minute tops for "humorous" videos like these. But a whole fucking hour? Who the hell has time like that? More or less an attention span like that.
