I sometimes wonder if I hadnt found this show to keep me in front of the computer for hours only really looking for internet friends, spending the early days of pony hidning my powerlevel making me feel like an even bigger deviant and outcast than I was. Before mlp, I was a depressed edgelord who was indulged in creepypasta and /x/ bullshit. One day I decided to watch mlp to see what all the fuss was all about concerning this show. I watched one episode, thought it was pretty cool even for a girls show, watched another episode, and now I've been trapped on the ride ever since. To note this was during Season 1 hiatus.
Life kinda got better for me, but not by a lot. So I was pretty much a depressed edgelord creepypasta mlp fag (I refused to identify as a brony).
Turned my life around last year though. All good now.
I was depressed even though I didn't know it at the time. That's probably why I felt inexplicably attached to the show once I started watching it. That, and the fact that a bunch of my irl friends liked it too so I always had buddies to sperg over ituntil stupid drama happened that splintered the groupNow I'm the only one left on the ride ;-;

I'd say I stress out a lot less after watching mlp for 5 years. Kinda stopped taking life so seriously and just enjoy myself now.
Surprisingly, I actually have way more, closer friends after watching mlp. Before mlp, I legit sat at lunch alone and was way too shy.

mlp has definitely changed my life noticeably and for the better. i made a pretty nice group of friends on the ride (don't know where i would be without them), and i've become a little calmer and less judgmental. really, that's probably just the progression of time since i've been that way for a good while, but i feel like ponies have played ahoof, however small, in my development.

I was depressed from the emotional abuse by two bad best friends. I had just been laid off due to the economy. I was one semester shy of an associates degree at the age of 32. I was Asperger embodied. My life was going nowhere.
When I found Equestria and the dames Elemental, each of those things changed. Five years hence, I am employed, have that associates degree, mostly not depressed, and I'm far better at passing for normal (though nerdy) among neurotypicals.

They should have done a show for Jem first and have made it animated. it literally came out of nowhere and several years too late to hitch on the musical movies ride

I can't tell you how great it was to finally discover that there are other people who like mlp, even if most of them got into it from this incarnation
