It's a show for kids, and kids make friends a lot easier. They don't have as many obligations, they're mandated to go to school where for--most of them--socializing is frequent, and they don't have as much drama bullshit, especially from dating.
I had plenty of friends until I went to High School and started working, then I just faded out.
