A little while ago, I realized I don't hate shipping. It's just one pairing which I won't name that makes me want to kill myself. What, are you kidding me? Twilight and Applejack have always had a special understanding beyond the other four. They're the two pragmatic, levelheaded ponies of the group, not to mention Applejack was the first pony Twilight "met" in Ponyville in the sense of actually getting to know her. The first four episodes of the series had plenty of Twijack interaction. In a lot of the season openers and finales, it's always Applejack who takes notice of Twilight's nervousness or anxiety about an upcoming event and comforts her.
