It's a show that I watch and find enjoyment out of. It makes me chuckle of a Saturday afternoon. I've like watching the characters get up to horse shenanigans every week. You're right, the only time many of us ever genuinely enjoyed the show was back when we didn't know shit about it. We were excited about the prospect, liked the art, music, jesus even some of the early normie invasions brought some good shit.
...But then something happened. we reached the edges of the fandom. We had seen everything it had to offer; the porn, the smutfics.
After that came the realization that we had invested an inordinate amount of time into a useless dead-end fandom. Where the only solace became "At least I'm not THAT autist"(when in reality we ARE that autist, just in a different form)
We'd built up a dopamine tolerance for all things pone.

Its not as bad as it looks like lad, by trying to not be like bronies this board managed to acomplish some good feats on its own, there still is a lot of self awareness around here, it saves us from elitist/snob behavior reserved to weebs, we keep our power levels hidden, and we try to at least be hated for things we actually do by not associating ourselves with bronies.
In any case, the show isn't kill yet, some people would rather just ask if the episode was good or not, but the fun always came from the surprise factor, this is one of the things that made the original ponyfags get into the show in the first place, and its what is making S5 so damn fun.What i am trying to say is that the best we can do is try to appreciate our last moments with the show and the fandom, because after its done there is nothing going to be left, if /mlp/ doesn't get deleted it will become a general/OC focused board, show discussion is temporary and we can't tell if Gen5 is really going to be as watchable as this one (specially considering how much people will nitpick it because "not muh waifu"), and if it does get deleted may will commit sudoku and we will just move to other chans/boards and move on with our lives and never see each other again, watching the show still needs to be the biggest priority, because if you don't you will live the rest of your life with the regret of something ending, but even when the show is dead, along with this fandom, we shouldn't be sad its over, we should be glad it happened

Mlp is basically rocket power with ponies and magic instead of people and X sports. I hated rocket power, and I dont like mlp the show either, but theres nothing especially wrong about either if you are either A, too dumb to have learned any life lessons and not have seen any of the ponies own cringe a mile away, or B, not empathetic enough to feel emberassed watching someone dig themselves into a hole for 18 minutes for the friendship lesson's conclusion.

I think the show is good. It's very sincere while still managing to be unpredictable (at least after season 1) and even the minor characters are hard to forget. It also has some great songs, plays with standard cartoon stories in interesting ways, and the animation continues to improve as the series goes on.
Plus I love how it handles continuity. Anything could end up being important anywhere.
