More of a morally gray Onslaught, with a tendency for violence, confused as to what side he should take and whether or not to even join a side. Moreso since he himself was not "born" the way a Cybertronian was, and the fact that he'd have command over a group of Vehicons with no sentience and not born of Cybertron either. Such as initially picking a fight with Optimus, but later turning around to deal with Lockdown, before disappearing for awhile.
Alternatively, they could have gone further with the RiD Scourge, and have him even more human-like than other transformers like Optimus, and conflicted about loyalties.
Or if they were crazy enough, pit a "neutral/good" manmade Optimus vs the true Optimus, revolving around some drama over existence, and whether or not the manmade bots should follow their masters loyally and coexist with them, or remain independent but at odds. Something like that.
