It'll look better in motion, or in kit form... or both, if you're lucky.

I've never really gotten the hate for the B30,It's always been one of my favorite designs.
I guess it looks over cluttered here but in animation it works a lot better.
It does look funny to me in a way,like the builder figured out to win in the gunpla game and get stronger all you have to do is add more clear parts,it's even funnier considering that's exactly what goes on in the anime.

Other people know how to do a basic standing pose that doesn't look like shit, and the kit has better proportions than Okawara's tendency to make things overly chunky. The kit has slimmer thrusters on the legs, a more slender torso, the arms are positioned somewhat lower, the thick parts on the arm have different angles that flow more naturally with the main line of the arm itself, so on and so forth. Okawara can do a decent basic concept, but he always needs someone else to come in and put it on a diet.

I've never seen an artist get shit on by so many people for basically little nitpicks that don't even matter.
The poses are fine because it's just a concept drawing.
The proportions technically are correct, because robot proportions are up to the designer, and Okawara was the original designer of Gundam.
Personally i don't think anyone can draw RX-78 like him, i can't stand Katoki's version.
Hell, Tomino tore him a new one because he didn't deviate ENOUGH from Tomino's own sketches and suggestions.

Okawara's designs have character to them, he can draw a dozen variants of the RX-78 and they look distinct, when put next to each other.
Have Katoki redraw them and it's the same thing copypasted with a few details and decals changed. Sure, it's drawn better but it's also soulless.
Takigawa is the only mechanical designer that manages to preserve the character of Okawara's design.

It's all been going downhill since SEED.
Build Fighters is literally the only exception, and only because it tastefully dusted off pre-SEED designs like Wing, X, Crossbone, Tetra, Tallgeese, F91 and Zaku without warping them into tryhard edge lord donut steels like the Dark Exia, Star Build Knuckle or Burning Impulse.
Despite there still being a wealth of decent side story and MSV material, they're just going to keep pumping out more ripoffs and fuglies for the sake of creating newer, more cringeworthy Gundams until we're all clinging for dear life to our God Gundams and psychic space religions.
After all, their target demographic (small post-millennium children) is known to have the absolute worst taste in everything, so us folks from last millennium just have to accept that Gundam will never not be ruined forever.
At least we'll always have Blue Destiny, and its naked winged not-Rei.

Unlike many other designers, his priority in design is to fulfill what the client desires and get the job done. Instead of trying to create something ideal and draw what he wants (his ego).
